Duration, continuation and withdrawal

Begin with the initial STEP 1 semaglutide result and STEP 5's longer observation during treatment. Then turn to SURMOUNT-4's tirzepatide continuation-versus-withdrawal comparison and the post hoc analysis of risk markers after withdrawal.

I give the withdrawal reports unusual prominence because they ask the less comfortable sequel to an impressive initial finding.

Cardiovascular outcomes and body composition

SELECT examines semaglutide's cardiovascular event outcome in its defined population. STEP-HFpEF takes up symptoms and physical limitations in obesity-related heart failure. The SURMOUNT-1 body-composition substudy adds fat and lean mass to the tirzepatide weight question.
